This policy explains what information Real Dog Lab collects, why, and what you can do about it. It is written to be read, not to be survived.

Who runs this site

Real Dog Lab is an independent publication operated by Mila Bruck. It is not a company, not a veterinary practice, and not affiliated with any brand mentioned on the site.

What we collect

Information you give us

If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you write. We use it to reply, and nothing else. We do not add you to any list, and we do not sell or share it.

There are no accounts, no logins and no newsletter sign-ups on this site.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, our hosting provider records standard technical data when a page is served: IP address, browser type, device type, referring page and the time of the request. This is used to keep the site working and secure.

Analytics

We use analytics tools, including Google Analytics and Google Search Console, to understand which pages are read and how people arrive. These tools use cookies and similar technologies and may collect a truncated IP address, pages visited, approximate location at city level, and device and browser information.

We look at this in aggregate. We are not trying to identify you and we make no attempt to do so.

You can opt out of Google Analytics across all sites using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Affiliate links and cookies

Some links on this site are affiliate links. When you click one, the retailer or affiliate network — such as Amazon Associates, ClickBank, Awin or Impact — may place a cookie in your browser so that a resulting purchase is credited to us.

These cookies are set by those companies, not by us, and are governed by their own privacy policies. We never see your payment details, your address, or what else you bought. In most cases all we receive is a notification that a sale occurred and the commission amount.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not trade or rent it. Data is handled only by the service providers that make the site function — our hosting provider, our analytics provider, and the affiliate networks described above — and only for the purposes described here.

Children

This site is intended for adults and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Your choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, or object to certain processing. Because this site has no accounts and no mailing list, in practice we usually hold nothing beyond an email you may have sent us.

California residents: under the CCPA/CPRA you have the right to know what personal information is collected, to request deletion, and to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined.
